From the Department Head

Dear Students,

We have opened the Department of Political Science and Public Administration as of 2017-2018 academic year in line with the increasing interest and need for qualified personnel in political science and public administration in recent years. We would like to share our happiness from the preference level of our first year with you.

Political Science and Public Administration are two closely related disciplines. The department aims to establish critical thinking and questioning mind in order to understand current problems and debates on theoretical and practical issues in the fields of political and administrative science.

The discipline of Public Administration analyzes decision and policy making processes in an administrative system. It establishes and organizes the preparation of public policies, organizations, management and applications at local, national and international level. The discipline of Political Science is a broad discipline covering political institutions, political systems, political actors, relations between them, state, government, democracy, authority, social classes, political parties, gender, identities, institutions of oppression and ideologies. The Department of Political Science and Public Administration is a department that provides education on the basis of these two main disciplines. This department aims to train intellectually and scientifically equipped individuals and qualified, interrogating citizens.
