Short Biography

Engin Şahin was born in Istanbul in 1983. He graduated from Hüseyin Avni Sözen Anatolian High School in 2002. He completed his undergraduate education at the Fatih University Department of Public Administration (English) with a full scholarship in 2007 and completed his master's degree in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at the Institute of Social Sciences at the same university in 2009 with the thesis titled "The Contested Role of Turkish Constitutional Court Between Law and Politics". He graduated from Marmara University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Public Administration in 2013 with the thesis titled " The Legitimacy Problem of the Constituent Powers in the History of the Turkish Constitutions " and received the title of Associate Professor in the field of "Political Life and Institutions" in 2017. Constitutional law, Turkish administrative structure, Turkish political life, party and electoral systems and government models are his academic fields of study. Engin Şahin is married and has two children.
